A short corridor, built into our daily rotations
Germany–Belgium is one of our most regular rotations: under 300 km between the Rhineland and Antwerp or Brussels, often combined with Dutch flows on the same tour.
The port of Antwerp is a major entry point for imported vehicles, feeding a steady flow into Germany. In the other direction it is mostly used vehicles bought on German platforms.
Intra-EU transport, no customs formalities. Over these short distances, slot availability matters more than mileage: announcing volumes in advance gets them into the operating schedule.
Contractual carrier, not a broker
We have owned five car carriers since 2014, and on every consignment HTL remains the contractual carrier, liable under CMR — including the loads a certified partner drives. A broker introduces you, hands the transport to a third party and steps out of the contract — you no longer know who answers.

Car transport price Germany → Belgium: what actually sets it
Less than 300 km separates the Rhineland from Antwerp or Brussels, and that is exactly why no per-kilometre rate holds up: the unit we price is the trip, not the distance. A run into the Antwerp port area does not fill a driving day; it sits inside a Benelux loop chaining several collections. The price per car therefore depends on how well that loop fills, far more than on kilometres covered.
Everything comes in through Antwerp, and what decides is the make-up of the load, never its headcount: a car carrier has 9 slots, allocated by each vehicle’s overall size — height, length and width —, the upper deck out of reach above around 1,750 mm of height. A Polo takes 1 slot in 9, a Golf 1 in 9, an ID.4 1 in 7, a Passat Variant 1 in 6, an ID.Buzz 1 in 4. A load of city cars and estates uses both decks; high-roof vehicles alone shut down the upper one and multiply the trips.
Two levers really count here. Build a mixed load rather than a uniform one: city cars go up top and lighten everything below. And open a two- or three-day collection window: a Benelux loop closes over three or four points, and the last point fixed sets the date for all the others. The Viapass distance charge, whose rate varies with the Belgian region crossed, and the German Maut are both built into the quote.

Within the EU, no customs formalities. Prepare the registration certificate, a proof of ownership or invoice if applicable, and the contact details for pick-up and delivery. A CMR consignment note and a condition report are issued at collection.
Yes. At loading you receive a written confirmation and a tracking link for your shipment, with no account and no password: it places the truck within an approach zone of about 10 km and shows the kilometres left. If you would rather just ask, your contact will give you the position and the estimated delivery.
Yes. Your vehicles are covered by our insurance throughout the transport; the coverage details are specified in your quote.
Not ourselves: your vehicles travel on the carrier, without a single kilometre added to the odometer. We still take driven-delivery requests: a partner provider then drives the vehicle. Just mention it in your quote request or message.
