What sets the price of car transport from Paris to Berlin
What you buy here is two days of truck and driver, not a distance sliced into segments. Depreciation, wages, diesel, tolls: the cost of those two days barely moves with what stands on the deck. The price per vehicle comes out of that total, spread over the number of cars actually loaded — put differently, how full the truck runs decides the price, not the mileage a map happens to show.
The carrier has 10 slots over two decks, and they are allocated by the vehicle’s height, never by its length: above roughly 1,750 mm the upper deck is out of reach. A Polo occupies 1 slot in 10, a Golf 1 in 9, an ID.4 1 in 7, a Passat Variant 1 in 6, an ID.Buzz 1 in 4. Saying eight cars therefore tells us nothing about the truck needed.
What stays in your hands is a short list, and it weighs more than the route itself. Group your vehicles on one relation instead of dispatching each purchase on its own. Combine different heights, so a city car uses the upper deck. Allow a few days of leeway on collection, which lets us place you on a truck already committed eastwards. And send a model list, not a headcount: the whole quotation rests on it.
