Both add kilometres to what a map shows, and the choice depends on the loading point, the season and Austrian driving bans. The German section is subject to the Maut, €0.187 to €0.473 per km.
The vehicles involved usually cost more time than distance. A collector car is loaded slowly, with ramps laid carefully and a detailed condition record: the CMR consignment note and its damage diagram are drawn up as it is loaded and again on arrival. Allow a full driving day, and two depending on the routing chosen; that estimate commits to no hour of the day, and the quote states it.
What determines the price of car transport from Nice to Munich
